vulnerasti

Vulnerasti: Coming Soon!

Vulnerasti”… This Latin phrase has been chosen as the title of the present Augustinian Bible Diary – the very first of its kind published by the Augustinians here in the Philippines – to encapsulate the message which the said publication intends to communicate – namely, how regular reading of the Sacred Scripture and meditation on it touch the human heart and mysteriously transform it. It literally means “you have wounded” – derived from the famous line in Saint Augustine’s autobiography, “The Confessions” (10.6.8): “You have wounded by heart with your word” (“vulnerasti cor meum verbo tuo”) – underscoring the impact of God’s word on his personal life.
